Project Description
The School’s brief was to design and construct a new Nursery Facility, within the Academic Year, to open in time for a September cohort.
The Facility was for 26 children, and included adjacent toilet facilities, and an integrated wet play area with low level access sink, and an external play safe area.
The works also included the modification of adjacent circulation spaces, a new Access WC, and the refurbishment of two Classrooms.
As the School were also having problems with the on-site drainage, the works package included for remedial and rectification works, along with the adjustment of external ramped areas to maintain access throughout.
Our Office lead on the tender procurement process, to ensure that competitive quotations were received for endorsement by the School Governors, and then supported the preferred Contractor to deliver the project in time for the Autumn intake of pupils.
Client Testimonial
“We were pleased to have Vagdia and Holmes working with us on our building project. We needed a construction partner who could take an early brief, develop a full implementation strategy, and then deliver on site, all within our specific timeframe. They have a friendly approach, and their advice was always available. It’s been a pleasure to work them, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.” School Business Manager, Leigh Church of England School, Coventry
