The Massey Ferguson Runners Club started training in earnest for the Coventry Fun Run 2015 at last month’s Saturday’s Coventry parkrun.
Massey Runners are a group of people who love to run, and their Club consists of members who are lifetime runners, as well as some who are just beginning. They regularly participate in the Coventry parkrun, and are now also looking forward to running in the Coventry Fun Run.
Club Chairman Dave Goodwin said;
“We are delighted to be supporting this years Coventry Fun Run on Sunday 4th October and will be looking to get the biggest Coventry running club team out on the day. We have over 160 members and with families taking part we are sure we can! More importantly we are looking to raise funds for our two nominated charities for 2015, The Daniel Estick Trust and Acorns Childrens Hospices”.
He added;
“For anyone taking part in the Fun Run that needs some motivation with their training feel free to come along to one of our training nights on Wednesdays at the Xcel Centre on Mitchell Avenue, Canley”.
Speaking about Massey’s commitment to the Coventry Fun Run, Dhiran Vagdia Event Chairman from the organisers Coventry Three Spires Round Table said;
“We are absolutely delighted that Masseys have again chosen to support us, and that they’ll be raising much needed funds for The Daniel Estick Trust and Acorns Childrens Hospices. The event is taking place on Sunday 4th October this year, and we look forward to seeing all runners at the start line at 10:30am!”
Coventry Three Spires Round Table are a group of local business men who volunteer to put this event on for the City.
Dhiran finished by saying;
“We’re welcoming all involvements and registrations from, local running and sports clubs. We’ve been speaking with Massey Ferguson Runners Club who attended our Launch event in May, and so pleased that they have kicked-off their Fun Run training schedule with a massive show of support for the event at the Coventry parkrun.”
