Carers Trust Heart of England has received an amazing amount of £500.00 towards Stars Club, a club for children and young adults, up to the age of 21, who have various disabilities.
The donation was provided by the Coventry Three Spires Round Table who are a group of local businessmen who volunteer to help disadvantage children in the Coventry area. They also are the organiser of the very successful annual Coventry Fun Run, which this year is taking place on Sunday 4th October 2015 at the War Memorial Park, Kenilworth Road, Coventry CV3 6PT.
Dhiran Vagdia, Chairman of Coventry Three Spires Round Table said: “We are delighted to be supporting Stars, and the Carers Trust. Our annual Fun Run helps a number of local charities raise money for their own cause, and we are delighted to donate excess funds to causes like Stars. This is just one of the ways we like to give back to the community, and to families in Coventry.”
Carers Trust Heart of England (Uniting Crossroads Care Coventry and Warwickshire and Coventry Carers Centre) provides a range of services to meet the needs of carers and individuals who provide regular and substantial care for people with care needs.
The grant will help fund Stars Club, the only club for disabled children and young adults in Coventry which operates every Saturday and provides a stimulating environment which the children can look forward to and enjoy whilst enabling their parents/carers to have a break from their caring role. The children can play games, takin part in sporting activities, making seasonal crafts and opportunity to socialise with other children with disabilities.
Salma Jussab, Heads of Operations at Carers Trust Heart of England said: “We are delighted that the Coventry Three Spires Round Table is recognising and helping the work we do with local children and young adults with various disabilities at Stars. We know from the feedback we receive from the parents/carers that the support we provide is invaluable.”
