Project Description

Coventry Sea Cadets, a local registered charity, asked our Office to design a new fire exit and fire escape to the rear of their Headquarters building, in Crescent Avenue, Coventry.

The proposed escape included a new horizontal gantry escapeway, with balustrades, and a new emergency egress ladder down to the ground.  This was designed around an existing first floor fire escape exit and a lower storey flat roof.

The works were completed in Spring 2011, and has been well received by the Charity and building users.

Client Testimonial

“As a local youth group and registered charity, we are absolutely delighted with the professionalism, advice and ongoing assistance provided by Vagdia and Holmes Architects.

Without the level of support and guidance we received, we would have struggled to get our project off the ground.  I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Vagdia and Holmes to any other voluntary or third sector organisation.”

Lieutenant (SCC) S P Warwick RNR – Commanding Officer – Coventry Sea Cadets (2011).
