Vagdia and Holmes, Chartered Architects working in Coventry and Warwickshire, have backed the Royal Institute of British Architect’s national pre-election campaign, to build a better Britain.
The RIBA are working with their members to help them champion better buildings, communities and the environment.
With the General Election around the corner, Architects have been asked to get behind the campaign to #BuildaBetterBritain, and to champion better buildings in our area.
Vagdia and Holmes have already written to their local MP, and are now encouraging their Clients, colleagues and friends to do the same. You can very quickly use the RIBA’s standard template letter to let your MP know that building a better Britain is important.
You can be part of the change. Write to your local candidates and ask them to help #buildabetterbritain, by visiting here ….
Practice Director, Dhiran Vagdia, said;
“The RIBA’s campaign is aimed at parliamentary candidates and focused on issues that are important in most constituencies whatever their makeup – building more good quality homes; ensuring we have well-planned places; developing flood-proof communities; delivering energy-efficient buildings and retrofitting those that are not; focusing on providing a good-quality built environment to accommodate our ageing population and encourage a healthier population; and addressing the dilapidation of many of our school buildings.”
He went on;
“All of these things should matter to every candidate. And they should demonstrate that not only does architecture play a role in providing solutions to some of these inherent political issues, but also that architects think broadly and can offer those solutions.”
